It is celebrated on the day of the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna. Ah, I wish I was in India right now!

Besides the vibrant colors, which has roots in Hindu legend, this celebration brings together people of all castes, sexes, status and age…. my kind of party.

here are some of the things we ate…

samosas… yum. we had a bunch of meat and vegetable ones. the vegetable ones tasted better.

Chicken Curry, Chicken Vindaloo, Saag Aloo, and a creamy veggie one the waiter suggested (my favorite).

Tandoori Chicken…came out on sizzling plates and served to us by the waiter.

For dessert we had a cashew ice cream and some rice pudding. mmmmmm.

They don’t serve the best Indian food, but it’s still pretty solid.
