In the area and in the mood for oysters, and also craving their burger.. a few friends and I ate at Comme Ça…

For Friday dinner, Sooj and I met up in Redondo Beach…for fondue savoyarde ..
made with Emental, Gruyére and Comté, white wine, mustard, garlic & herbs…and served with French ham, proscuitto, smoked turkey, apples, and croutons…yum.

Sooj was craving a burger. I suggested we hit up French brasserie, Comme Ça. To some people, they make the best burger in Los Angeles. I disagree (Father’s Office and Pete’s are my favorite), but do value their burger high up there.

Today was a gloomy day, which put me in the mood for a cup of Onion Soup Gratinée. I wouldn’t say it’s the best French onion soup that I’ve ever had, but it’s worth a repeat visit.
They’re going to be at SXSW.
