Recently, I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning, and had a much better experience than last year. It was almost pleasureable, and it can be attributed to my switch from Oral B to Philips Sonic Care (don’t I sound like an infomercial – ha!). The change in electrical toothbrushes was prompted when my dental hygienest mentioned that my gums were receding, probably from brushing too hard with my Oral B. It made sense since Oral B’s brush head is circular, which in motion then, would kind of “brush away” gums. Or I just have bad form.
In any case, I picked up the Sonic Care Flexcare+ online and after 6 months of use, my gums are still here, and I had practically no build up. It’s a quality product. The brush heads are like a traditional toothbrush, and the model I got came with a UV-emitting container to kill off accumulated bacteria/germs on the brush head. I also liked the 3-minute timer (vs the 2-minute Oral-B model); it buzzed every 30 seconds, which was a nice cue to focus on different sets of teeth.
Anyways, I like it, so much so that I even joined their Facebook fan page.
