Plain Edge Spyderco Cricket Pocket Knife

December 10, 2012 Living, Tools No Comments

Since losing my EDC (every day carry) pocket knife, the Ken Onion designed Kershaw Leek in stainless steel, I’ve been feeling kind of naked. I thought about getting another Leek since that knife is so damn awesome, but figured I would take this opportunity to try something new. I did some research and came across this beauty, the Cricket by Spyderco.

What initially drew me to this was the shape of the blade. It looks like a stubby hawk beak or claw. Also, it is really thin, which makes carrying it pretty comfortable. The only real drawback is that it is a pretty small knife, which I guess is okay. Opening it with one hand will take some practice, but I think I can do it.
