Library Bar – Went to a bar just to eat.

March 14, 2012 Drink No Comments

After doing some drinking down the street, my kickboxer friend and I went to Library Bar to eat their Pork Belly Sandwich, an item that he’s been raving about for quite some time. He went so far as to say that it was the best thing on their food menu. And you know what?

I think he’s right. The ingredients are pretty simple – pork belly, arugula, tomato, mayo, and ciabatta bread. What really makes the sandwich, in my opinion, is the glaze. It’s like maple syrup goodness. The combination of sweet, savory, and carbs. Yum.

Still kind of hungry, we tried the Roasted Marrowbones, which was served with shaved fresh horseradish, shallots, parsley, and four slices of grilled ciabatta. This was my first, and definitely not my last time, having this. I really liked this a lot, and will now be ordering this whenever I encounter it at another restaurant’s menu. It was fatty, rich, and satisfying.

Cheers!
