David Choe – Nothing to Declare

May 15, 2010 Art, Contemporary, Street No Comments

In the area, Sooj and I stopped by Lazarides’ pop-up gallery in Beverly Hills to take in David Choe’s Nothing to Declare exhibit. It was one of the most talked about shows this year. Myself, I thought the works on display were pretty spectacular.

Choe is one of my favorite artists. I don’t know him personally, but I get that he’s a pretty straight up, no bullshit kind of guy, living life on his terms.

Here are some of the highlights of the show…

I will take all my love all my hate all my pain all my rage, all my suffering and all my skills and experience I’ve collected over the years everything I’ve learned in every medium from watercolors to oils to spray paint I’m gonna express everything I feel about this city and what it is to live and die and be born again in the city of angels….
