Tim Hamilton Washed Leather Jacket

September 2, 2009 Fashion, Style No Comments

i’m posting this in the attempts that doing so will stop me from buying it..
….. i already filled my leather jacket quota for the year..
.. but if it’s still around when my birthday comes up, it was meant to be.

A nearly-basic leather jacket made in typical Tim Hamilton fashion. The centerpiece for this jacket is the crazy accordion-like collar; when in its beginning position it seems as a rather basic (although quite tough) stand-collar; begin the unfolding and unzipping process, though, and it transforms to reveal a nylon hood which you can adjust into a couple different styles. The zipper detailing along the side of the torso and sleeves adds a rather avant-garde touch but is kept from zipping up to useless heights by small stitching which stops the zippers. Tim Hamilton leather jackets use high-quality Italian-made Lampo zippers on which the pulls have been painted/glazed over to be white. This jacket is made from Buffalo leather; one of the strongest leathers available. While incredibly tough and thick, buffalo is surprisingly breathable and absorbs moisture well. Unlike many other leathers which stretch out with wear, buffalo leather conforms to the wearer’s body to, over time, become something completely personal. Lined with soft viscose. Made in Italy.
