Savoy Kitchen: Best Hainan Chicken Rice outside of Singapore!

i’ve been craving this for over 5 years, and seeing some friends eat this the other day put me over the top, so i was determined to make good and finally satisfy this craving.

Rice steamed in chicken broth. Poached chicken served with ginger, chili sauce, and soy sauce.

thinking it might take a while for our main dish to come out, we also ordered these appetizer shrimp rolls, which were served with a sweet and sour sauce. we were wrong. the chicken rice actually came out within 2 minutes of ordering. nevertheless, everything was tasty. mMmmMMMmm

afterwards, EM and i walked 7 blocks to satisfy one of her cravings and (10 year) curiosities. 

shaved ice…. with the green worm-looking jelly among other toppings. so good.
