Giovanni’s serves some pretty good Italian food

June 17, 2009 Gourmet No Comments

In the mood for gnocchi, I went with a couple of friends to Giovanni’s. The food was good. Service kind of sucked. When the host sat us down, he didn’t even give us menus!

Gnocchi Pesto. Potato pasta dumplings in a fresh basil pesto sauce with garlic, pine nuts and parmesan cheese.

Cioppino a la Danielle. Mussels, clams, calamari, white fish, and shrimp in a tomato clam broth and served over linguini.

Linguini and Fresh Mussels in a spicy sauce. So, so good.

All of it was pretty good. Despite being lunch portions, I thought they were a bit big.

I’ll be back. Cheers!
