Crème de la Crèpe Cafe: Favorite little French place

April 20, 2009 Gourmet No Comments

Yesterday, we had some amazing weather here in the South Bay. Not wanting to stay home, I called out JS and JL to come out to play some Uno. Unfortunately, JL couldn’t join us right away.

Hungry, JS and I went to one of my favorite little places to eat in Redondo Beach, Crème de la Crèpe Cafe. One of the things I really like about this place is that all of the servers can speak French and have the accent. A nice bunch of folks.

Anyways, given that it’s a pretty popular spot among the locals, we were fortunate to score a nice outdoor table to enjoy the cool night.

as an appetizer…we started with..

Cheese Fondue.
With Croutons and Apples

sooo gooey, sooo good.

JS had……

Chicken Dijon.
Chicken Breast in a Dijon Mustard sauce, served with potato gratin and ratatouille.

i had……..

Scallops la Belle Lina.
Grilled scallops with lemon butter sauce on a bed of fresh spinach, served with ratatouille and potato gratin.

mMMmMmmm….

..potatoes to die for…..

for dessert, we shared a Zidane crèpe, named after the notorious soccer player Zinedine Zidane… which is kind of funny.

Anyways…

Zidane Crèpe.
Fresh strawberries, bananas, melted nutella, and vanilla ice cream.

mmMmmmm… all good food…

after dinner we met up with JL at the Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey to play some UNO…seriously.
